For Reasons Only Known To The Lord.

I have watched Dave and Dave, the committee of sound, put in countless hours making sure our sound system is professional. Not just a good sound system, but working through cable management. Etc. They have tested my mic at least once a week to make sure it's perfect. 

But for reasons only known to the Lord, microphones behave differently on Sunday mornings. 

If you want a good chuckle, wait until my microphone behaves badly, then watch Dave panic and start crawling around the sound system.
This improper behavior of a microphone is enough to drive any conscientious sound man to tears. 

When I perform a wedding, I tell the bride one thing. Not everything will go as you envisioned during the ceremony, but I can guarantee that, no matter how poorly it goes, you will be married in the eyes of God and man.  

After all these years, the gremlins in the microphones still catch my attention, but they do not ruin my attitude. 
Songs are sung, prayers are prayed, and an entire building sits to focus on scripture.
